溫哥華佛光山為倡導孝道月，發揚孝親報恩、慎終追遠之美德，謹定2024年8月6日至
8月11日啓建孝親報恩梁皇法會，以此功德迴向眾善信徒平安吉祥，​歷代宗親，往生淨土。梁皇寶懺，為佛教中懺悔滅罪之懺王，亦是經懺中生亡兩利之寶典，如懺文所載:「以此消災，災消吉至; 因茲滅罪，罪滅福生。真救病之良藥，​乃破暗之明燈，恩沾九有，德被四方。」​
 
The good traditional Chinese spirit of filial piety inspired us to remember and respect our ancestors. Therefore, Vancouver Fo Guang Shan will be conducting the annual Filial Piety Emperor Liang Repentance Dharma Service from Aug 6 to Aug 11, 2024.
The Emperor Liang Repentance Sutra is considered the greatest among all Buddhist repentance texts as it benefits all sentient beings and the deceased. All merits gained from the service will be dedicated to worldwide health, peace, and harmony, and also to all our ancestors so they can reach the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
